Autumn
Autumn days in the Peak. Among the coldest of my climbing life. When the wind blows a gale and it feels like madness to be outside. To be taking off a jacket and putting on climbing shoes. To try and climb something at all. I am so glad to have friends as mad as I. Who still think it is a good idea to go out. Even when the weather is filthy. Even when going to a pub is surely a far better plan. These are the best days. The days I remember.
